Sponsor veteran Phil on a virtual walk to John O’ Groats

Another inspiring veteran is way ahead in his new year goal to walk 874 miles for charity.

Phil is already 5 weeks into his challenge which began on 1st January. He is walking/running from John O’ Groats to Land’s End to raise money for the Ripple Pond charity, a Veterans’ Gateway Referral Partner.

Why did he choose Ripple Pond?

As an ex-serviceman I wanted to raise money for a charity that would help families of those still serving or retired, particularly those suffering with mental health issues. I asked a friend who had suffered with PTSD and he suggested The Ripple Pond because of how great they had been for his own family.

Ripple Pond are particularly grateful for Phil’s efforts as they rely solely on grants and donations to provide their invaluable peer to peer support. Phil is aiming to raise £874, one pound for every mile.

Are you having a new year clear out? You could also help Phil by turning your unwanted stuff into donations, or earn donations as you shop.
