Do you want to work in the construction sector?


The charity Building Heroes is offering Construction Skills Bootcamps for those wanting to work in the industry.

You will need to live in the following locations: The South West, South East, or East England, London, or the East Midlands.

The courses are open to adults aged 19 and over. You can either be in work, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break. You will also need access to your own IT and internet.

The training lasts for 12 weeks and you are expected to attend in person 2 days a week. There are also 2 additional sessions of independent studies.

The free and fully funded courses will provide a thorough understanding of the trade. Upon completion you will be fast-tracked to an interview with a local employer, and be well on the way to a career in construction.

Qualifications on offer:

– Level 3 Certification. National Open College Network (NOCN) approved: Learn how to analyse the construction industry and built environment. – Level 3 Certification. NOCN approved: Learn how to comply with health and safety requirements in the workplace. – Level 3 Certification. NOCN approved: Learn how to analyse technical information, quantities, and communication with others.Industry tickets are also embedded into the qualification. These include: Confined Space Awareness, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Awareness, Fire Warden Fire Marshall, and Asbestos Awareness (Cat A).
