Veterans’ Mobility Fund now accepting applications

Do you need mobility equipment that isn’t available via the NHS? And have mobility issues as a result of your service?

You can now apply for a grant via the Veterans’ Mobility Fund (VMF) which supports those ex-service personnel with physical disabilities.

The VMF provides grants for mobility equipment such as specialist wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

The fund is administered by both  Help for Heroes and Blesma and is open to veterans across the UK.

Blesma and Help for Heroes were awarded the administration of this life-changing fund by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA) and the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund in September 2023.

Eligible veterans will usually be in receipt of a War Pension or an award from the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme.

The fund will remain open for five years.
